Patna, June 29 (NationPress) The PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana has significantly improved the quality of life for many individuals in various cities across Bihar. Beneficiaries of this scheme are experiencing substantial reductions in their electricity bills.
Residents from Motihari and Muzaffarpur districts expressed how this initiative has positively impacted their finances, allowing them to save money on energy costs.
Beneficiaries revealed that the government provides a subsidy of Rs 78,000 towards the total cost of solar panel installation.
Satish Kumar, a Motihari local, shared, “Previously, my monthly electricity expenses were between Rs 2,000 and Rs 3,000. Now, after installing solar panels, these costs have dramatically decreased.”
Technician Dharmendra Kumar noted that the installation of solar panels under this scheme not only reduces electricity bills but also offers a central government rebate of Rs 78,000. He mentioned that in the past year, around 300 individuals in Motihari have adopted solar panels.
Satendra Kumar Singh, director of the solar panel installation company, highlighted the growing participation in the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, stating that this initiative is beneficial in multiple ways.
“Consumers enjoy reduced electricity costs, while also contributing to the fight against global warming. Additionally, employment opportunities are emerging through this scheme,” he elaborated.
Ashok Kumar, an engineer from Professor Colony, Muzaffarpur, praised the Central Government’s initiative. He, along with fellow beneficiaries, successfully installed solar panels at their homes, receiving a Rs 78,000 rebate from the government.
Kumar discovered this scheme via social media and urged the government to promote it further, enabling more people to reap its benefits.
