Patna, July 20 (NationPress) Tej Pratap Yadav, the eldest son of Lalu Prasad Yadav, has unveiled a new social media page, igniting rumors about his forthcoming political direction after a six-year expulsion from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
On Sunday, Tej Pratap established a page titled “Team Tej Pratap Yadav” on X and Facebook, urging his supporters to join him on this platform.
The page showcases a slogan penned by Tej Pratap: “Jiska kaayam hai Pratap, woh hai aapka apna Tej Pratap.”
Additionally, he has shared a photograph of his parents, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, on the page.
This initiative has led to a flurry of discussions within Bihar's political landscape regarding whether Tej Pratap is gearing up to establish a new political entity. However, he has yet to make any official declarations, although insiders suggest that a party launch might be imminent.
Tej Pratap's expulsion from the RJD by Lalu Prasad Yadav stemmed from various controversies, including a viral post from about two months ago where he shared a picture with a girl named Anushka, claiming a 12-year relationship.
Though the post was later removed, the images circulated widely, causing friction within both the family and the party.
As a consequence, Lalu Prasad Yadav not only expelled Tej Pratap from the party but also cut ties with him.
In the meantime, while the RJD has issued a formal letter concerning Tej Pratap’s expulsion, the Bihar Legislative Assembly has not yet been officially notified.
Thus, during the upcoming monsoon session, it is anticipated that Tej Pratap will continue to occupy his previous seat next to Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav in the Assembly.
Having previously held a ministerial position in the Bihar government, Tej Pratap has consistently made headlines for his unpredictable remarks and actions.
His recent social media activity has once again electrified Bihar’s political atmosphere, leaving many eager to see if he will take the leap to form his own party ahead of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.
