Bengaluru, March 13 (NationPress) The Karnataka BJP has expressed its discontent with the findings of the report issued by Justice H.N. Nagamohan Das concerning the 40% commission allegations against the former BJP administration, labeling it as politically driven.

In questioning the rationale behind Justice Nagamohan Das's appointment, the saffron party pointed out his history of producing reports that tend to favor the Congress party.

During a media briefing in Bengaluru, the Leader of the Opposition R. Ashoka remarked, "The findings presented by Justice Nagamohan Das are solely political. The present Congress-led government has alleged a 40% commission, but what basis does the investigation have to determine such an exact figure?"

"What standards were used for the investigation? What documentation supports the conclusions?" Ashoka continued to question.

"These are critical inquiries. The Congress-led government consistently opts to appoint this individual. Other judges are never considered. Justice Nagamohan Das is regularly selected by Congress for investigations whenever they are in authority. He has a history of producing reports that align with Congress interests," he alleged.

"This is fundamentally political. The commission lacks the capacity of an investigative agency. The Karnataka Lokayukta has already cleared these allegations with a report stating that no evidence supports the 40% commission claim. So, how did he acquire exclusive documents?" Ashoka questioned.

"This commission is backed by Congress, formed similarly to the Kempanna Commission for investigating the Arkavathi denotification case. It's a tactic to politically target and criticize the BJP. The true investigation is ongoing with the Lokayukta, and the matter is also in court. BJP MLA N. Munirathna has filed a case, yet there have been no updates in court or with the Lokayukta. How has this commission managed to finish its investigation so swiftly?" he queried.

The contention over commission allegations has escalated in Karnataka following the report from the Justice H.N. Nagamohan Das Commission regarding the alleged 40% commission linked to the previous BJP government in the state.

In retaliation, the Karnataka BJP has initiated a poster campaign accusing the Congress-led government under Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of engaging in a 60% commission.

Taking to the social media platform X, the Karnataka BJP shared a motion poster with the tagline "Just loot it; flat 60% Commission", featuring an image of CM Siddaramaiah. The party also branded it with the title "All day, all night – just loot it".
