Srinagar, Nov 19 (NationPress) The remains of a local civilian who lost his life in the November 10 terror explosion near the Red Fort in Delhi were brought back to his home village in Ganderbal district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Wednesday.
Bilal Ahmad Sagoo, a Kashmiri labourer from Baba Nagri Wangat village, was tragically killed when a terrorist, Dr Umar Nabi, detonated his explosive-laden i20 car in Delhi, resulting in the deaths of 13 civilians and injuring numerous others.
Bilal had relocated to Delhi to work as a labourer in order to support his impoverished family residing in the remote Baba Nagri Wangat village in the Valley.
The body was received in Wangat village by MLA Kangan, Mian Mehr Ali, who also participated in the funeral of the unfortunate victim.
Speaking to reporters in Baba Nagri Wangat, Mian Mehr Ali expressed that the deceased was working in Delhi to provide for his family.
“He was a man of limited means, and we have assisted his family previously and will continue to do so. The chief minister, Omar Abdullah Sahib, has already urged the Central government to offer compensation to the bereaved family. Omar Sahib emphasized that every Kashmiri should not be viewed with suspicion, and the tragic death of Bilal Ahmad Sagoo highlights that Kashmiris are victims, not beneficiaries of terror,” said Mian Mehr Ali.
The recent dismantling of a white-collar terror network in the Faridabad area by the J&K Police has revealed a deeply entrenched conspiracy by certain Kashmiri doctors planning to orchestrate large-scale terror attacks across various regions of the country.
As part of the ongoing investigation into this terror conspiracy, the Counter-Intelligence wing Jammu (CIJ) of J&K Police conducted a raid within the high-security Kot Bhalwal jail in Jammu district. Officials indicated that these CIJ operations are ongoing inside the Kot Bhalwal central jail, which houses hardcore Pakistani and local terrorists as well as notorious criminals.
“These raids are part of an initiative to uncover terror networks believed to be operating from within the prison,” officials stated.
These actions follow a significant crackdown after the recent discovery of a white-collar terror network run by a group of doctors, alongside the car blast incident near the Red Fort in Delhi.
On Tuesday, the Kashmir division of counter-intelligence (CIK) detained a local doctor, Farooq Umar, and his wife, Shahzada, from Budgam village in Kulgam district, for questioning regarding their connection with the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terror outfit and the women's terror group Dukhtaran-e-Milat.
It is alleged that the detained doctor and his wife, particularly Shahzada, were attempting to revive the women's terror organization after it had nearly ceased operations following the arrest of its leader, Asiya Andrabi, in 2018.
The couple was apprehended in the Shireen Bagh area of Srinagar city. Dr. Umar Farooq is a cardiologist at the government super specialty hospital in Shireen Bagh.
