New Delhi, May 13 (NationPress) The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has revealed the results for the Class 10 Board exams for 2025 on Tuesday. This year, an astonishing 93.66% of candidates successfully passed the examination. More than 23 lakh students participated, with exams conducted at 7,837 centres across 26,675 affiliated schools.
Once again, girls exceeded boys in performance, achieving a remarkable pass percentage of 95%.
Regionally, Thiruvananthapuram, Vijayawada, and Bengaluru led in performance, while Delhi ranked seventh and Guwahati was at the bottom.
Students can retrieve their results via the official CBSE websites — cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and results.cbse.nic.in.
Additionally, results are accessible through DigiLocker, the UMANG app, and IVRS.
The CBSE has dispatched DigiLocker login information through SMS to students’ registered mobile numbers, allowing them to download digitally verified copies of their mark sheets and certificates.
To view their results, students must enter their roll number, admit card ID, school code, and date of birth. A minimum score of 33% in both theory and practical exams is necessary for passing. In borderline situations, grace marks may be awarded.
Earlier today, the CBSE also announced the Class 12 Board results, which showed a pass percentage of 88.39%, an increase of 0.41% compared to the previous year.
The CBSE is set to conduct supplementary examinations for both Classes 10 and 12 in the first or second week of July 2025. These exams will adhere to the same syllabus as the main Board exams conducted earlier this year.
In a significant update, the CBSE has implemented a Relative Grading system starting from the 2024–25 academic session. This new approach ranks students relative to their peers, aiming to alleviate academic stress and competition.
This year, over 42 lakh students participated in the CBSE Board exams held from February 15 to April 4, with Class 10 exams concluding on March 18, while Class 12 wrapped up on April 4.
The CBSE stands as India’s largest school examination board and the second-largest public examination system in the country, just after general elections.
With schools present in countries ranging from Japan to Ghana, the CBSE offers a diverse selection of 204 subjects across Classes 10 and 12.
