Patna, Oct 8 (NationPress) As the final stages of seat-sharing discussions within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) unfold ahead of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan took to social media on Wednesday to express an emotional yet pointed tribute to his late father, Ram Vilas Paswan, on his death anniversary.
Chirag shared a poignant quote attributed to his father, stating, "Papa always used to say – 'Don't commit crime, don't tolerate crime. If you want to live, learn to die, learn to fight at every step.'"
This statement is perceived as a subtle message to his NDA partners amidst ongoing seat-sharing talks, as Chirag reaffirmed his commitment to his father's vision of 'Bihar First, Bihari First'.
"Papa, I pay my respects to you on your death anniversary. I assure you that I am fully committed to following your path and realizing your vision of Bihar First, Bihari First," he declared.
He emphasized, "The time has come to realize the dream you envisioned for the comprehensive and all-round development of Bihar. Fulfilling the responsibility you entrusted to my shoulders is the purpose and duty of my life."
Describing the upcoming elections as a grand festival of democracy, he remarked that the polls provide a chance to fulfill LJP founder Ram Vilas Paswan's dream of leading Bihar in a new direction.
"I am determined to carry forward the caravan of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) that you founded. It is the dream of every party worker and office bearer to see your dreams fulfilled in the upcoming elections," he added.
Chirag concluded, "Papa, your inspiration, blessings, and ideals will always guide me."
Currently, the seat-sharing negotiations in the NDA are nearing completion.
The LJP(RV) has requested a respectable allocation of seats—ranging from 43 to 137 constituencies—to contest as part of the NDA in the forthcoming Assembly elections.
