CM Hemant Soren: Time to Construct on Jharkhand's Development Foundation Established in 2019

Ranchi, Dec 12 (NationPress) Jharkhand's Chief Minister Hemant Soren spoke to the Assembly on Thursday, emphasizing that the coalition government established in 2019 has laid a strong foundation for the state's development, and now is the moment to build upon that groundwork.

In response to the discussion regarding the Motion of Thanks to the Governor's address, CM Soren underscored the government's dedication to enacting meaningful development in various sectors such as infrastructure, tourism, and job creation.

He stated, "Our focus is on achieving visible development in reality, not merely in rhetoric. We are working for every segment of society."

The Chief Minister characterized the Governor's address as a clear outline of the government's vision, priorities, and strategic direction aimed at Jharkhand's growth.

"Our government operates beyond the confines of the secretariat; it is fueled by the rural economy. Without improvements in rural areas, comprehensive development remains unattainable," he remarked.

Reflecting on Jharkhand's past, CM Soren honored the sacrifices that led to the state's establishment.

He noted, "This state was born from the sacrifices of countless individuals who fought for its creation. Since its inception in 2000, it has faced numerous challenges. Prior to 2019, the state's advancement was stifled, with many citizens enduring poverty and neglect. There were instances of farmers taking their own lives, and individuals perished with ration cards in their possession."

He also condemned efforts to undermine his government since 2019 but pledged to realize the dreams of Jharkhand's martyrs and activists.

Addressing the state's socio-economic hurdles, Soren stated, "Jharkhand has often been categorized as one of the most economically challenged states in the nation, despite housing major industries like Bokaro Steel Plant, HEC in Ranchi, and Sindri Fertilizer Factory. Even with these industrial establishments, the local populace remains landless, displaced, and unemployed. Migration to other states has become a necessity. This is a significant issue we are tackling."

Soren commended the state's progressive labor laws and elaborated on the measures being implemented to ensure the safety and welfare of workers, both inside and outside Jharkhand.

Reiterating his administration's developmental objectives, Soren concluded, "We are devoted to comprehensive development. Each day signifies a new chapter in our journey. We have embarked on this path, and we will expedite our efforts. I invite the Opposition to collaborate in this mission."

Following the Chief Minister's address, the House passed the Motion of Thanks to the Governor's address with a majority.
