During a teleconference with NDA ministers, MPs, MLAs, and MLCs, Chandrababu Naidu emphasized their active involvement in the program to ensure its success.
He invited leaders from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Jana Sena to partake in the yatra, which aims to propagate the message of good governance from former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee as part of his birth centenary festivities.
He commended the BJP state executive for their initiative to organize the yatra across the state, which he believes will inspire the youth in honor of the late Prime Minister.
Vajpayee is revered as the “political Bhishma,” and Naidu expressed joy in celebrating his centenary through this program.
According to Naidu, Vajpayee laid the groundwork for good governance in India, with policies that have driven the nation’s development.
“Vajpayee was a leader without enemies, whose legacy is a source of pride for all Indians,” he stated.
The Chief Minister highlighted Vajpayee's humble beginnings and his remarkable achievements, including being elected to the Lok Sabha nine times and the Rajya Sabha twice, showcasing his stature.
“At just 18, he participated in the Quit India movement. In 1998, he oversaw the Pokhran-2 nuclear tests, affirming India’s strength, and effectively responded to challenges during the Kargil War,” he remarked.
CM Naidu reminisced about the transformative Golden Quadrilateral Highway project initiated during Vajpayee’s administration.
“I had a personal rapport with him. He contributed immensely to our state's development, always willing to assist in beneficial initiatives,” the Chief Minister noted.
Naidu also referred to Vajpayee’s reforms in the telecommunications and aviation sectors.
“When comparing NTR and Vajpayee, one can grasp the essence of good governance. NTR was a leader with a distinctive vision, always prioritizing the welfare of the people,” he stated.
CM Naidu asserted, “Whether it was the nuclear test then or the Sagarmala initiative today, these successful programs are all part of the NDA's legacy.”
“Prime Minister Modi is also dedicated to making India a leading nation by 2047, inspiring the youth along the way,” concluded CM Naidu.
