Darbhanga, the eastern terminus, is the principal city of the Mithila region in northern Bihar and a longstanding cultural hub. The western terminus, Khatiyapura station in Jaipur, connects the service directly to the capital of Rajasthan, enabling a rail link between two historically and culturally intertwined regions.
