Patna, Oct 22 (NationPress) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday launched a fierce critique against former Union minister and ex-CM Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family while highlighting his government’s remarkable two-decade journey of progress during an election rally in Gopalganj, the home district of the RJD leader.
Addressing a sizable crowd, Nitish Kumar asserted that prior to 2005, Bihar was engulfed in fear and lawlessness, yet the past 20 years have seen extraordinary advancement under his governance.
“Before 2005, residents were hesitant to venture outside after dark. Now, Bihar is secure, developed, and on the rise. The transformation has been profound,” the Chief Minister stated.
Elaborating on the pivotal successes of his administration, Nitish Kumar pointed out that more than five lakh teachers have been appointed to fortify the education system.
He noted that in healthcare, numerous new medical colleges have been introduced to enhance healthcare accessibility throughout the state.
The Chief Minister also emphasized significant welfare measures, including free electricity up to 125 units for households, increased pensions for the elderly, and various initiatives to empower women through job opportunities.
“Bihar currently boasts the highest number of women in the police force compared to any other state nationwide. We have guaranteed women’s involvement in all sectors,” he added.
Nitish Kumar affirmed that his government serves all communities without bias, referencing initiatives to construct boundary walls for temples and fencing for Muslim cemeteries.
“Previously, politics revolved around Hindu-Muslim divisions. We have abolished that. Our efforts cater to everyone — regardless of caste or creed,” he stated.
During his address, Nitish also commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi, recognizing his support for Bihar’s ongoing developmental ventures.
“Prime Minister Modi has made remarkable contributions to Bihar’s advancement. Together, we are committed to ensuring the state’s continual growth,” the Chief Minister remarked.
Earlier on Tuesday, Nitish Kumar spoke at rallies in Muzaffarpur, where he detailed the NDA government’s accomplishments in education, infrastructure, and welfare initiatives ahead of the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
