Hyderabad, Dec 7 (NationPress) The BJP in Telangana unveiled a 'chargesheet' against the Congress government on Sunday, emphasizing its unfulfilled election commitments.

To mark the completion of two years in power for the Congress government, the BJP held a ‘Mahadharna’ at Indira Park Dharna Chowk.

Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy, alongside state BJP president N. Ramchander Rao, party MP K. Laxman, and other leaders, presented the 'chargesheet', underlining the failures of the Congress administration.

Ramchander Rao criticized that during the Congress rule over the past two years, there has been injustice faced by farmers, women, youth, students, and various other societal groups. He claimed that the guarantees were merely rhetoric with no actual implementation.

In response to the Congress government celebrating its second anniversary under the slogan Telangana Rising, he remarked that Telangana is declining under Congress leadership.

Kishan Reddy pointed out that while the Congress made grand promises to the electorate, only free bus travel for women and the provision of fine rice were realized, with all other pledges remaining unfulfilled.

He accused the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government of having plunged the state into debt during its decade-long rule, asserting that the citizens of Telangana are weary of the dictatorial and family-oriented rule of former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

The Union minister stated that people trusted the promises made by Congress and voted them into power, but they failed to deliver.

“The only change is the pink flag replaced by a hand symbol. The same corruption and exploitation persist in the state,” he said.

Kishan Reddy remarked on the defection of ten BRS MLAs to Congress, indicating that there is no real distinction between the two parties. He claimed that no segment of society has experienced improvement.

The BJP leader asserted that the state’s financial situation is so dire that it may need to sell off government land to implement its schemes.

He questioned why the Congress government has not filled 200,000 job vacancies even after two years in power.

Kishan Reddy challenged the Congress leaders, asking how they could celebrate two years of governance when they owe the public an explanation for failing to deliver the change promised by Revanth Reddy and Rahul Gandhi during the elections.

Point of View

The ongoing political discourse in Telangana reflects broader issues of accountability and governance that resonate across India. The claims made by the BJP regarding unfulfilled promises from the Congress government highlight the critical need for transparency and effective leadership.
