Amaravati, Dec 7 (NationPress) Andhra Pradesh Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh has reaffirmed the commitment of the state government to generate 20 lakh jobs within the next five years.
He emphasized that the creation of 20 lakh jobs is the primary goal of the NDA government.
Lokesh mentioned that in the past 17 months, the government has attracted Rs 20 lakh crore in investments, which can create 16 lakh jobs, and is focused on expediting their implementation.
While visiting the United States, he addressed the Telugu community in Dallas.
Pointing out that Andhra Pradesh is now recognized as India's representative of speed, he highlighted the state's swift advancements under the dual leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, with Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan forming a robust leadership coalition.
He stressed the importance of consistent governance, stating, "No interruptions. No failures. No conflicts. The NDA will lead AP for a minimum of 15 years to guarantee ongoing development," according to a statement released from his office on Sunday.
Lokesh criticized the previous administration for disrespecting women and his mother in the Assembly.
"We harbor no grudges. However, those who disrespect women will face legal consequences," he asserted.
He underscored that the NDA government will maintain dignity and responsibility while pursuing a development-oriented agenda.
Lokesh outlined the state's decentralized growth strategy, which is transforming eight key areas: Automotive in Anantapur, Renewable Energy in Kurnool, Electronics Manufacturing in Chittoor and Kadapa, Solar and Diversified Manufacturing in Nellore, CBG and Green Fuels in Prakasam, Quantum Tech and Capital Projects in Krishna and Guntur, Aquaculture and Agro Exports in the Godavari districts, and IT, Pharma, Medical Devices, and ArcelorMittal Steel in North Andhra.
He pledged unwavering support from the government to the Telugu diaspora worldwide, stating that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and his family will always appreciate those who stood by them during challenging times.
Lokesh recalled the strong support from Telugu individuals in the United States when former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was unjustly detained.
"You are not NRIs - you are MRIs: Most Reliable Indians," Lokesh proclaimed, attributing the diaspora's contributions to the NDA alliance achieving a remarkable mandate of 164 out of 175 seats.
He remarked, "When the previous administration questioned 'Why Not 175?', the people responded with 'Why Not 11?' and facilitated a complete political shift."
Lokesh announced that starting next year, the 'Kallaku Rekkalu' initiative will assist Telugu students pursuing education abroad. He assured that AP NRT will safeguard every Telugu family overseas during any crisis, whether social, financial, or legal.
He stated that the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub and emerging tech parks in AP will serve as strong platforms for entrepreneurial endeavors by the diaspora.
The event witnessed participation from AP Government Advisor (NRI Affairs) and AP NRTS President Vemuru Ravikumar, NRI TDP US Coordinator Komati Jayaram, Garland Mayor Dylan Hedrick, and a significant gathering of Telugu individuals from across Texas and the US.
