Bhind (Madhya Pradesh), Oct 21 (NationPress) In a deeply disturbing event, a Dalit youth was reportedly kidnapped, assaulted, and forced to consume urine by a group of individuals in Madhya Pradesh's Bhind district, according to police statements released on Tuesday.
The victim described how he was taken by three individuals and compelled to drink urine. His nightmare commenced when the assailants transported him from Bhind to Gwalior and subjected him to humiliation.
Upon arriving in Gwalior, the victim was coerced into consuming alcohol before being made to ingest their urine.
Fortunately, the terrified young man managed to contact his family, who rushed to his aid and took him to a government hospital. Following this, local law enforcement was alerted to the brutal incident.
Upon receiving the report, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sanjeev Pathak and Collector Karorilal Meena visited the victim at the hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.
ASP Pathak later informed the media that a legal case has been lodged, with the perpetrators facing charges of assault, unlawful detention, and violations under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
Pathak also revealed that two of the three accused have been apprehended, with ongoing efforts to locate the third. The arrested individuals have been identified as Sonu and Alok, both from Bhind.
In response to the allegations regarding the forced consumption of urine, Pathak stated, "The investigation is underway, and subsequent actions will be determined based on the medical report."
District Collector Karodilal Meena assured the victim's family that strict action would be taken against the assailants. He also mentioned that the district hospital has been instructed to expedite the submission of the medical report.
This incident comes just days after a similar case arose in Katni district of Madhya Pradesh, where another Dalit man was reportedly assaulted. In that case, three individuals were arrested for their involvement in the atrocities against marginalized communities.
