New Delhi, June 4 (NationPress) After wrapping up a successful five-nation journey aimed at securing international backing against Pakistan-backed cross-border terrorism, an all-party Parliamentary delegation spearheaded by JD-U MP Sanjay Kumar Jha reached Delhi on Wednesday morning.
The delegation's itinerary included visits to Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, and Indonesia as part of a global outreach strategy following Operation Sindoor, a military operation executed by the Indian armed forces that effectively dismantled nine terrorist training facilities in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir in response to the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
The delegation, led by JD-U MP Jha, comprised BJP MPs Aparajita Sarangi, Brij Lal, Pradan Baruah, Hemang Joshi, TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee, CPI-M's John Brittas, and Congress leader Salman Khurshid along with Ambassador Mohan Kumar.
Upon their return to Delhi, JD-U MP Sanjay Kumar Jha shared with IANS: "Our travels took us to Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Several key observations emerged from this visit. Firstly, the all-party delegation conveyed a powerful message of unity against terrorism. Secondly, nations worldwide unequivocally condemned the April 22 Pahalgam terror incident and expressed condolences for the 26 victims. Third, India exclusively targeted terrorist hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir with measured and precise strikes. Finally, flights have resumed in Jammu and Kashmir, and a Cabinet meeting was conducted in Pahalgam to assess the ground situation. We urged the FATF (Financial Action Task Force) to take action against Pakistan. This delegation has sent out a robust message against terrorism."
Following the fruitful five-nation tour, BJP MP Hemang Joshi stated, "Primarily, this delegation was formed to unify global efforts against terrorism. Various multi-party groups represented India as a united front under MP Sanjay Kumar Jha's leadership during our visits to Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia..."
BJP MP Brij Lal remarked, "The tour was highly productive. We visited five nations: Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia."
Communist Party of India (Marxist) MP John Brittas noted, "Our objective was to raise awareness among other nations and convey the importance of supporting India in its battle against terrorism."
BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi shared, "Returning to India after 14 days feels great. Our nine-member delegation visited five countries... We sensed unanimous support from all nations against terrorism."
The delegation's itinerary through Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, and Singapore highlights India's commitment to regional peace, security, and development.
