Hyderabad, May 21 (NationPress) Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy declared that the endgame for LWE has commenced. Kishan Reddy, also serving as the president of the BJP's Telangana unit, commended the remarkable achievements of security forces after the elimination of 27 Maoists, including the general secretary of CPI (Maoist), Nambala Keshav Rao, known as Basavaraju.
“This is yet another significant milestone in India’s battle against LWE (Left Wing Extremism). The removal of the CPI-Maoist leader represents a critical blow to the ideology of violence and anti-national beliefs. I express my pride in our courageous security forces and intelligence agencies for this precise operation in Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh,” Kishan Reddy mentioned in a post on ‘X’.
The Union Minister emphasized that under the firm leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the strategic foresight of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the concluding phase for Naxalism has begun. “Our nation stands united in this ultimate endeavor for a Naxal-free Bharat,” he added.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, also praised the success of security forces. “A decisive strike in India’s campaign against Naxalism - Operation Black Forest is victorious!” he tweeted.
The MoS noted that this monumental victory, achieved under the strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the relentless efforts of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, resulted in the neutralization of 27 high-profile Maoists in Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh, including the elusive general secretary, Nambala Keshav Rao.
“This marks the first elimination of a general secretary-level Maoist in over 30 years—truly a pivotal moment in India’s struggle against Left-Wing Extremism,” he stated.
According to Bandi Sanjay, Operation Black Forest also led to 54 arrests and 84 surrenders across Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Maharashtra. “A salute to our valiant security forces for crafting this transformative chapter in national security!” he concluded.
Basavaraju hailed from the Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh and became the general secretary of CPI (Maoist) in 2018 after the resignation of Ganapathy.
