Ahmedabad, Sep 15 (NationPress) Adani Cement has unveiled the innovative ‘Adani Cement FutureX’, a comprehensive national program aimed at fostering collaboration between academia and industry, addressing real-world challenges in infrastructure and sustainability.
Launched in honor of Engineer’s Day, this initiative collaborates with 100 elite engineering institutions, including IITs, NITs, and numerous top private and state colleges, alongside over 100 prestigious schools across 70 cities in India.
The program aims to equip the youth with skills for careers in future-oriented business models, sustainable construction, and cutting-edge building solutions, as stated by the world’s ninth-largest provider of building materials and solutions, part of the diverse Adani Group.
“The Adani Cement FutureX represents our commitment to enhancing partnerships with educational institutions and accelerating innovation, sustainability, and talent development. By bridging the gap between students in schools and engineering colleges and real-world industry challenges, we are creating a seamless pathway from curiosity to careers, ensuring that India’s growth narrative is driven by responsible leaders with innovative ideas,” remarked Vinod Bahety, CEO–Cement Business, Adani Group.
Within this program, the Adani Cement Smart Lab will showcase a live cement manufacturing model featuring a mini rotary kiln, providing in-depth insights into chemistry while bringing science and engineering to life through hands-on demonstrations. It will also introduce concepts in robotic engineering and the application of Artificial Intelligence in practical scenarios.
Students will explore process and product innovations, including advancements in nanomaterials technology, R&D on next-gen building materials, and electric vehicle equipment utilized in plants, all conveyed through interactive, classroom-friendly tools designed to ignite curiosity and creativity across various fields such as science, technology, finance, and marketing.
The initiative will include field visits, experiential learning, knowledge-sharing sessions, leadership engagements, collaborative research, industry-focused learning, career pathways, youth involvement, brand engagement, and leveraging the Indian Concrete Journal (ICJ) network and its editorial partnerships.
Reflecting Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani’s vision of 'Temples of Education' and 'Karma Shiksha', and his recent address at IIT Kharagpur where he termed students as the “new freedom fighters of Bharat, innovators whose ideas, code, and imagination will propel India’s self-reliance amid technology-driven challenges,” Adani Cement FutureX signifies one of the largest academia-industry collaborations in India’s building materials sector.
Adani Cement currently nurtures over 1,500 Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs) and Diploma Engineer Trainees (DETs) while conducting advanced leadership programs to cultivate future leaders.
With an installed capacity exceeding 104.5 million tonnes per annum, Adani Cement accounts for nearly 30% of the cement utilized in India’s housing and infrastructure projects.
