Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 27 (NationPress) The BJP's Kerala president, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, stated on Monday that certain controversies are being intentionally stirred up to distract from the alleged fraud associated with the planned visit of football icon Lionel Messi, the Argentina football team, and the Sabarimala gold scam.
Chandrasekhar pointed out that individuals with criminal histories have infiltrated the media industry, attempting to skew public perception.
“Criminals have indeed penetrated the media landscape, and we will confront such entities decisively,” he declared.
Refuting all claims made against him, the BJP figure insisted there was “not a single grain of truth” in these allegations.
“None of the accusations directed at me hold any factual basis. The company BPL mentioned in these claims has already issued a definitive statement to clarify the situation,” he stated.
Chandrasekhar asserted that he has been the subject of unfounded attacks for an extended period, warning that those who disseminate falsehoods would face repercussions.
“I have been enduring such accusations for a considerable time. Those who propagate lies will not evade legal repercussions. Anyone who thinks they can target me via false narratives is mistaken,” he affirmed.
He connected the controversy to what he described as a “broader scheme of deception,” referencing past allegations involving the Sabarimala and Exalogic incidents.
“We have seen the Sabarimala scam, the Exalogic issue, and now this so-called Messi fraud,” he remarked.
The former Union Minister underscored the necessity for a “political and media overhaul” in Kerala to regain public confidence.
“Our aim is to facilitate political purification in Kerala. Furthermore, if this requires us to cleanse the corrupt factions within the media, we are prepared for that as well. A thorough political and media cleansing is vital,” he asserted.
These statements emerge amid a rising political turmoil surrounding the alleged scam related to the Argentina team’s planned visit to Kerala.
