Mumbai, Nov 12 (NationPress) Authorities are actively pursuing a comprehensive investigation throughout Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana regarding the activities and associations of Dr. Shaheen, a key suspect in the Faridabad terror module.

Dr. Shaheen, arrested on Monday, is originally from Daliganj, Lucknow.

She is affiliated with Al-Falah University and had close ties with Dr. Muzammil, a Kashmiri physician who was detained after a staggering 2,900 kg of explosives and flammable materials were discovered in his Faridabad rental.

Authorities reported that the Faridabad Police recovered a Swift car owned by Dr. Shaheen based on information from Muzammil, and a Kalashnikov assault rifle was also confiscated from this vehicle.

According to her family, she was once married to Zafar Hayat, a resident of Maharashtra, but their marriage ended in divorce in 2015.

This has led security agencies to broaden their investigation efforts across Maharashtra.

The incident gained attention after police dismantled a terror module connected to Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind in Faridabad, seizing 2,900 kg of explosives along with a significant cache of weapons and ammunition.

In recent days, police have also apprehended two doctors from Jammu & Kashmir, Adil Ahmad Rather and Muzammil, who were associated with these terror groups.

The investigation intensified following an explosion on Monday evening, when a Haryana-registered Hyundai i20 parked near Gate No.1 of the Red Fort Metro Station detonated, resulting in at least eight fatalities and numerous injuries.

In response, high alerts have been issued across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Mumbai, with heightened security measures implemented at crowded public areas and religious sites.

As part of these security enhancements, the Delhi Police have closed Gate Nos. 1 and 4 of the Lal Qila Metro Station for public access due to ongoing security operations.

The Delhi Police are diligently working to reconstruct the timeline of events leading up to the explosion, stressing that all potential angles are being thoroughly investigated.
