Patna, July 13 (NationPress) An FIR has been filed at the Patna Cyber Police Station against Akash Singh, the son of former Bihar Congress state president Akhilesh Prasad Singh, for allegedly inciting caste animosity through his social media posts.
The case (number 2493/25) was initiated on July 13 following a complaint lodged by Manish Singh, a spokesperson for the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and a resident of Patna's Digha locality.
In the FIR, Manish Singh, who lives in New Mithila Colony in Digha, Patna, accused Akash Kumar Singh, a former MP candidate from Maharajganj and a resident of Pataliputra Colony, along with others, of disseminating misleading, false, and inflammatory content on social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and X. This content reportedly relates to a horrific mass murder incident that took place on July 4 at Malmaliya Chowk in Siwan district.
Manish Singh claimed that these posts contained unfounded and erroneous information and aimed to foster hatred, animosity, and violence among various communities by glorifying the culprits involved in the murder based on their caste and inciting public support for them.
Additionally, it was alleged that individuals supporting the victims were being publicly threatened through these social media posts.
