Jaipur, July 22 (NationPress) Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has raised significant concerns regarding the unexpected resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, labeling it as “suspicious” and hinting that it may be a tactic orchestrated by the RSS and BJP.
Gehlot remarked that the Vice President’s resignation, which cited health issues, seems sudden and atypical. He connected it to Dhankhar’s ongoing interventions regarding farmers’ matters.
“Jagdeep Dhankhar has consistently expressed his worries about farmers, both in and out of Parliament. He even once chastised the Agriculture Minister over this issue,” Gehlot stated.
He further asserted that he had felt pressure on key constitutional roles. “I mentioned in Jodhpur 10 days ago that both the Vice President and the Lok Sabha Speaker were operating under pressure. Later, Dhankharji visited Jaipur and refuted this. But stating it is one thing, the truth is another,” Gehlot continued.
Gehlot posited that the resignation might be tied to a political strategy. “The House was in session throughout the day, and the resignation occurred abruptly. I have known his family for 50 years. This raises questions. Is the RSS-BJP gearing up for a significant political shift?”
The Congress leader also expressed dismay over reports indicating that the government will not organize a formal farewell for the departing Vice President.
“This is not only shocking and disheartening but also brings forth numerous questions,” he expressed.
Doubting the rationale behind the health claims, Gehlot questioned, “Even when the Prime Minister or President undergo critical surgeries like heart bypass, they do not resign. So, why has the Vice President chosen to do so? This is unprecedented.”
Gehlot concluded by stating, “Only two individuals are aware of the truth -- Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Time will reveal the actual motive behind this resignation.”
Jagdeep Dhankhar's abrupt resignation has astonished political figures across the spectrum and has ignited speculation regarding the reasons for his decision.
