Patna, Nov 29 (NationPress) A significant meeting of the Grand Alliance took place in Patna on Saturday, resulting in the unanimous election of Tejashwi Yadav as the leader of the Grand Alliance Legislative Party.

During the meeting, leaders from both the RJD and the Congress articulated their stances regarding the forthcoming Bihar Legislative Assembly session, while also delineating the opposition's strategy going forward.

Congress leader Sameer Kumar Singh emphasized that all parties involved had committed to cooperative efforts, asserting that the Grand Alliance would serve as a proactive opposition.

He noted that the manifesto put forth by Tejashwi Yadav—which emphasizes unemployment and other public-centric matters—will be central to their campaign from grassroots to the Assembly.

Referring to survey results, Sameer Kumar Singh indicated that pre-election assessments forecasted diminished support for Nitish Kumar and increased backing for Tejashwi Yadav.

Nonetheless, he alleged that the election outcomes were manipulated by the Election Commission and the administration.

Singh urged party members to maintain their morale and solidarity.

He also refuted rumors about Congress MLAs departing for Delhi or any potential party splits.

Singh confirmed that while some MLAs were summoned to Delhi, two had already returned, and four remained there.

He guaranteed that no MLA is abandoning the party and that the Grand Alliance stands firmly united.

He proposed a public meeting with MLA Habibur Rahman to dispel the circulating rumors.

RJD MLA Bhai Virendra presented the Assembly's schedule, stating that the swearing-in ceremony for MLAs is set for December 1, followed by the election of the Speaker on December 2. This will be succeeded by the Governor's address and the introduction of the Appropriation Bill.

He reiterated that the opposition will vigorously challenge the government's misguided policies and remain engaged throughout the session on matters concerning the public.

Both leaders reiterated their concerns regarding the recent election outcomes, claiming manipulation of the public mandate.

Bhai Virendra asserted, “Conversations among the public indicate a belief that the Grand Alliance secured the votes, yet the results appear to have been tampered with. The time will come when accountability is demanded.”

Bhai Virendra stressed that the opposition is not merely engaging in a numerical contest, but rather a battle of principles.

“The opposition will consistently champion public-interest issues regardless of which party is in power. The Grand Alliance will closely monitor government promises, especially concerning law and order and employment. Should the NDA government fail to deliver on its pledges, the Grand Alliance will take their message to the people,” Bhai Virendra stated.
