Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Saturday, 29 August said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s organisational strength is being built on three pillars — the energy of young workers, the experience of senior leaders, and the adoption of new technology. He made the remarks while addressing a BJP training camp for party leaders and workers from Mehsana district at Becharaji.

Key Remarks at the Training Camp

'Today, the BJP organisation has become stronger through the combination of the energy of young workers, the experience of senior leaders and new technology,' Patel said. He described dedicated and disciplined workers as the foundation of the party, adding that the BJP has prioritised worker development and training since the era of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh.

Patel also underlined that the party's mass public support under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership is rooted in the hard work, discipline, and spirit of service of lakhs of workers. 'The nationwide public trust earned by the BJP under the capable leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has behind it the hard work, discipline, dedication and spirit of service of lakhs of workers,' he said.

On the Purpose of Party Training

The Chief Minister stressed that training programmes are essential for equipping workers to understand shifting social trends while retaining clarity of thought. 'Building workers through training is the most important tool for strengthening the organisation,' he said. He also emphasised that an organisation is defined not by the mere gathering of people, but by the collective strength to advance with 'one thought, one objective and one direction.'

Development and Governance Approach

Referring to the Centre's governance model, Patel noted that Prime Minister Modi had 'shown a path towards taking the benefits of development to the last person through good governance, public participation and saturation.' The remark aligns with the BJP's recurring outreach strategy of targeting the last-mile beneficiary as a political constituency.

The training camp was attended by state organisational general secretary and national co-convener of the BJP's training campaign Ratnakarji, state ministers Rushikesh Patel and Pravin Mali, former deputy chief minister Nitin Patel, western-central zone in-charge of the training campaign K C Patel, Mehsana district BJP president Girish Rajgor, and district in-charge Bharat Dangar. Mehsana MP Hari Patel, MLAs, state campaign team member Vijay Pandya, and senior party leaders and workers were also present.

The camp is part of a broader BJP initiative to systematically train its cadre ahead of future electoral cycles, with Mehsana being among the districts covered under the national training campaign.
