PMLA Court issues notices to TDI Infra directors in ₹4,619 crore homebuyer fraud
A Special PMLA Court in Delhi has issued notices to TDI Infrastructure Ltd. and its directors — Ravinder Taneja, Kamal Taneja, and D.N. Taneja — in a case involving the cheating and defrauding of thousands of homebuyers across Haryana. The notices were issued on 28 April by the Special PMLA Judge, Patiala House District Court, based on a Prosecution Complaint filed by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED)'s Gurugram Zonal Office.
Background of the Case
The ED launched its investigation on the basis of multiple FIRs registered and chargesheets filed by the Delhi Police. According to those FIRs, TDI Infrastructure and its promoters allegedly cheated homebuyers by failing to deliver promised residential units within stipulated timelines — with delays of up to 16–18 years reported in at least one project.
The company had launched several commercial and residential projects in Kundali, Sonipat, Haryana between 2005 and 2014. It collected ₹4,619.43 crore as advance booking amounts from 14,105 customers across 26 projects in Sonipat. As of now, Occupation Certificates for four projects remain pending, and one project —
