New Delhi, July 3 (NationPress) Spiritual leader Swami Chidanand Saraswati from Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh has expressed admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi after he received Ghana's highest civilian honor, likening PM Modi's leadership style to that of Lord Ram.
In an interview with IANS, he praised India's foreign policy under PM Modi, noting that just as Lord Ram embraced all, PM Modi is also fostering unity in his journey of nation-building.
"I have witnessed many Prime Ministers, but none compare to Narendra Modi," he stated. "He has significantly elevated India's global standing, which is why he is honored worldwide. It's notable that 24 countries have bestowed their highest national awards upon him—this reflects a growing global respect for India."
He underscored that PM Modi perceives these accolades as honors for India's 1.4 billion citizens, rather than personal achievements.
Commending India's shifting foreign policy, Swami Chidanand remarked, "How many Indian Prime Ministers have visited Ghana prior to this? In the last 30 years, PM Modi is the first. He values smaller nations and recognizes that India's future global influence relies on strong ties with all countries. Much like Lord Ram welcomed Shabari and Kevat, PM Modi is advancing together with everyone."
Reflecting on PM Modi's dedication and discipline, he recalled a poignant speech from two decades ago. "Before he became Prime Minister, Modi delivered a compelling one-hour address on the Indian diaspora at the World Hindi Conference, which deeply resonated with the Indian populace. Even then, his commitment to values and patriotism was evident."
He added, "PM Modi embodies true patriotism, fueling his tireless work ethic. Such exceptional drive is not common and seems almost divine."
Swami Chidanand also highlighted the excitement during PM Modi's recent international visits. "In Trinidad, schools and offices closed down for citizens to engage with him. The nation celebrated his visit, and in Ghana, the respect he garnered was palpable. His achievements extend beyond Ghana; he receives top honors globally. However, PM Modi aims for the world to recognize India, not just himself. I truly believe India is fortunate to have such a leader, as he brings prestige to our nation wherever he travels."
He acknowledged the contributions of the Indian diaspora, stating, "Indians abroad have consistently made our country proud. PM Modi unites all 1.4 billion Indians, and our global community is enhancing India's profile daily."
