Ranchi, Sep 16 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Hemant Soren, officially presented appointment letters to 301 newly appointed assistant teachers on Tuesday.
Among these educators, 131 are graduate-trained in mathematics and science, while 170 are intermediate-trained for teaching students in Classes 1 to 5.
These teachers were selected through a competitive examination carried out by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC).
During the ceremony held at the Jharkhand Ministry, Soren emphasized the government's commitment to elevating the standard of government schools to match that of private institutions.
“We are implementing significant measures to enhance infrastructure, fill existing vacancies, and deliver quality education across every district,” he stated.
He pointed out that education remains a central concern for his administration, noting that substantial appointments have already been made in the education sector, with plans to recruit an additional 26,000 teachers underway.
While congratulating the newly appointed teachers, Soren reminded them of their important role. “Despite financial challenges, parents in our state strive to provide the best education for their children. It is your responsibility to honor their sacrifices and to teach with integrity, sincerity, and dedication,” he remarked.
He also mentioned that teachers’ salaries are funded by taxpayers, emphasizing that there should be no compromises in nurturing the future of children. “The state’s progress hinges on how well we cultivate the next generation,” Soren added.
Highlighting the increasing trust in government institutions, he noted that numerous parents are shifting their children from private schools to CM Utkrishta Vidyalayas.
“This is a clear indication that the quality of education in government schools is improving steadily,” he concluded.
Furthermore, Soren encouraged teachers to provide feedback and suggestions to the government on ways to further enhance educational quality.
The ceremony was attended by Minister Sanjay Prasad Yadav, Additional Chief Secretary to the CM Avinash Kumar, Education Secretary Uma Shankar Singh, Project Director Shashi Ranjan, Primary Education Director Manoj Ranjan, along with the newly appointed teachers and their families.
