New Delhi, July 19 (NationPress) During his recent trip to Uttarakhand, Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated and laid the groundwork for development initiatives valued at Rs 1271 crore during the Uttarakhand Investment Summit - 2025 in Rudrapur on Saturday.
The summit united industrialists, entrepreneurs, and educators from across the nation, bolstering the state's ambition for swift economic expansion and investment.
While addressing the attendees, Amit Shah underscored the government's dedication to transforming Uttarakhand into a prominent center for tourism, infrastructure, and sustainable energy.
"Our goal is to elevate Uttarakhand into not only a Devbhoomi but also a Vikasbhoomi," Shah stated, highlighting the importance of simplifying business operations and enacting policy reforms.
Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, who appeared alongside Shah, lauded the Home Minister for his impressive physical transformation. "Amit Shah has shed 40 kgs. He is not merely a political figure but also an exemplary model of health and wellness," Ramdev remarked.
He further emphasized the necessity of Indianizing the education system. "Future generations should inherit the values of our rishi-munis. Under your leadership, our Indian knowledge systems are experiencing a revival in education, healthcare, and governance," he noted, referring to advancements within the Bharatiya Shiksha Board and national initiatives.
Dr. Sunil Rai, President of the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), likened Shah to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. "If Sardar Patel was the original ‘Lauh Purush’ (Iron Man), Amit Shah is his modern counterpart – a true iron man of contemporary India," Rai commented. He also mentioned research indicating that Shah travels approximately 3.5 lakh kilometres each year, averaging around 500 km daily.
“Interestingly, the Guinness World Records has not yet acknowledged this achievement,” Rai joked. The summit represented a pivotal move towards positioning Uttarakhand as an investment-friendly destination, guided by Shah’s leadership and the backing of the central government.
