New Delhi, Jan 16 (NationPress) India is embarking on a journey towards energy abundance, focusing on managing surplus, enhancing resilience, and achieving universal excellence, as stated by the government.
To support this vision, the 'Bharat Electricity Summit 2026', a global conference and exhibition dedicated to the power and electricity sector, is scheduled to take place in the national capital from March 19-22.
Power Minister Manohar Lal emphasized that the summit will not only showcase our accomplishments but also serve as a launchpad for future advancements by uniting technology providers, infrastructure developers, innovators, and decision-makers on a single platform.
“This summit creates a unique environment where local capabilities align with global ambitions to forge a sustainable and resilient electricity future,” he remarked.
The four-day summit's theme is “Electrifying Growth. Empowering Sustainability. Connecting Globally”.
It aims to highlight India's leadership in the global energy transition while tackling challenges and seizing opportunities within the power sector.
As per the Power Ministry, the summit will gather domestic and international stakeholders from government, industry, academia, and civil society to discuss the future of electricity and sustainable energy systems, encouraging cross-sector dialogue and strengthening global cooperation through strategic partnerships.
Attendees can look forward to over 50 high-level conference sessions, expert-led panel discussions, thematic pavilions, and technology showcases that represent the entire spectrum of the electricity and clean energy value chain.
The event is expected to host more than 500 exhibitors, attract over 25,000 attendees, and feature more than 1,000 delegates and 300 speakers from both India and around the globe, according to ministry officials.
“A highlighted feature of the Summit will be a ‘Buyer Seller Meet’ aimed at accelerating partnerships and unlocking new business opportunities within the global power supply chain. This Summit will serve as a platform for promoting cross-border collaborations and mobilizing investments to expedite clean electricity deployment,” the official statement added.
