Commending the armed forces for their professionalism and patriotism, she highlighted that the recent triumph of Operation Sindoor signifies a crucial milestone in India's counter-terrorism and deterrence strategy.
Speaking at the Chanakya Defence Dialogue 2025, held at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi, the President remarked, "The Indian armed forces have demonstrated professionalism and patriotism in safeguarding India's sovereignty. In every security challenge, whether conventional, counter-insurgency, or humanitarian, our forces have shown exceptional adaptability."
"The recent achievement of 'Operation Sindoor' represents a pivotal moment in our counter-terrorism and deterrent strategy. The world has recognized not only India's military prowess but also its moral clarity to act decisively yet responsibly in the quest for peace," she added.

New fields of competition, including cyberspace information and cognitive warfare, are blurring the boundaries between peace and conflict."
She emphasized India's approach to global affairs, saying, "Driven by our civilizational principle of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam', we have demonstrated that strategic autonomy can harmonize with global responsibility. Our diplomacy, economy, and armed forces together portray an India that seeks peace while being prepared to defend its borders and citizens with strength and conviction."
The President expressed her confidence that the outcomes of this dialogue will provide valuable insights for policymakers as they mold the nation's future trajectory. She concluded by affirming her belief that the armed forces will continue to pursue excellence and progress with determination towards realizing the goal of 'Viksit Bharat@2047'.
