Indore, July 17 (NationPress) Following the announcement that Indore has once again been named the cleanest city in India, Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya took to social media to express his heartfelt emotions about this incredible accomplishment.
Indore has maintained its position as the leading city in urban cleanliness for the eighth consecutive year under the Swachh Survekshan 2024-25, which Vijayvargiya hailed as a “historic” achievement, showcasing the city’s dedication to adhering to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision outlined in the Swachh Bharat Mission.
In an emotional message written in Hindi, the Minister opened with a powerful statement: "Yeh ek daur hai, yeh Indore hai. Yah swachhata ka guru hai, aur pathpradarshak hai" -- "This is an era, this is Indore, a master and guide in cleanliness."
He continued, "On this unmatched accomplishment, I extend my heartfelt greetings to the aware, hardworking, and ever-watchful citizens of Indore. My heartfelt congratulations and gratitude go to all public representatives and the administration for making this possible."
Vijayvargiya stressed that Indore's dedication to cleanliness transcends awards; it mirrors the collective spirit of its residents -- a legacy that he assured will motivate future generations.

President Droupadi Murmu presented the Swachh Survekshan Awards 2024-25 during an event organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Thursday.
The government emphasized that the primary aim of the Swachh Survekshan is to encourage widespread citizen engagement and enhance awareness across all segments of society regarding the significance of urban cleanliness.
This year’s assessment adopted a “smart, structured approach to evaluating urban cleanliness and service delivery” based on 10 parameters and 54 specific indicators.
