Jammu, Nov 14 (NationPress) The Lt Governor (L-G) of J&K, Manoj Sinha, expressed on Friday that the region's economy has seen remarkable growth since 2021, with a historic surge in infrastructure development since 2019.

The L-G spoke at the closing ceremony of the initial phase of celebrations commemorating the 150th anniversary of the national song, ‘Vande Mataram’, held at the Maulana Azad Stadium in the city.

“The progress in Jammu & Kashmir has never been as promising as it has been since 2019,” stated the L-G.

He highlighted that the economy of Jammu and Kashmir has expanded significantly since 2021, and the rapid infrastructure advancements since 2019 are without precedent in the region's history.

“Our commitment to industrialization is yielding substantial growth. We have made courageous choices, steering Jammu & Kashmir towards a brighter future and ensuring enhanced prosperity for our populace,” the L-G remarked.

The event drew an enormous crowd, with over 20,000 students and citizens participating in a mass rendition of 'Vande Mataram'.
