Ranchi, May 1 (NationPress) – The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of the Jharkhand Police has successfully detained a suspected terrorist in the Bhuli locality of Dhanbad, as reported by officials on Thursday.
Identified as Amaar Yasar, this individual was previously associated with the banned group Indian Mujahideen and has recently engaged in anti-national activities under the flag of another outlawed organization, Hizb ut Tahrir.
The Director General of Police for Jharkhand, Anurag Gupta, stated: "Amaar Yasar was taken into custody in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, in 2014 due to his connections with Indian Mujahideen. After being released on bail, he resumed his subversive activities and joined Hizb ut Tahrir in May 2024. He faces three cases in Jaipur and Jodhpur concerning terrorist actions and is currently under interrogation."
This arrest follows a recent operation by the Jharkhand ATS that resulted in the capture of four individuals linked to Hizb ut Tahrir during synchronized raids in Wasseypur and surrounding areas of Dhanbad.
