New Delhi, Oct 7 (NationPress) Registrations are open until October 11 for school students in Grades 6-12 who are eager to participate in the Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025. This initiative, aimed at fostering innovative thinking to tackle real-world challenges, offers an impressive Rs 1 crore in rewards, as announced by the Ministry of Education.

The Ministry, in partnership with the Atal Innovation Mission and NITI Aayog, has initiated the Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 to engage students from approximately 2.5 lakh schools nationwide.

To promote and acknowledge student innovators, schools are invited to submit their entries in the form of photos and videos. A panel of experts will assess these submissions, with the top teams receiving prizes from a total pool of Rs 1 crore, according to an official statement.

“This marks India’s largest student innovation initiative and is a significant move towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047,” the statement added.

In addition to recognition and cash prizes, participating schools and students will benefit from ongoing support through corporate mentoring, resources, and guidance to enhance their innovations.

While creatively developing prototypes to solve real-life issues, students will focus on four key themes of national importance: Vocal for Local - advocating local products, crafts, and resources; Atmanirbhar Bharat – establishing self-sufficient systems and solutions; Swadeshi – nurturing indigenous ideas and innovations; and Samriddh Bharat - paving the way for prosperity and sustainable development.

The Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 serves as a rallying cry for students to dream ambitiously, innovate boldly, and play a role in India’s journey to becoming a developed nation by 2047, stated the official announcement.

All schools and students are encouraged to participate in this movement, showcase their creativity, and leave their mark as the innovators of the future.

According to the timeline established by the Ministry of Education, the winners of the Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 will be revealed in December 2025.

After registrations close on October 11, a nationwide live buildathon will commence across schools starting October 13.
