KCR and Kishan Reddy Receive Invitations for the Telangana Talli Statue Unveiling

Hyderabad, Dec 6 (NationPress) The Congress-led administration in Telangana has formally invited former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao along with Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar to attend the unveiling of the Telangana Talli (Mother Telangana) statue at the State Secretariat.
Following the announcement by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy regarding the invitation for the first anniversary celebrations of the government, Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar mentioned on Friday that he has requested time to meet the three leaders in order to deliver the invitations personally.
Prabhakar confirmed that invitations will be extended to Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) President KCR, Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy, and Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar for the ceremony on December 9.
As the in-charge minister for Hyderabad, he will be reaching out to both BRS and BJP leaders. He noted that he had already informed KCR's personal staff and the central ministers about his intention to meet them to present the invitations.
“Once they confirm a time, I will go to meet them on behalf of the Telangana government,” he expressed. The minister emphasized the importance of having these three leaders present at the event.
Previously, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) announced that former Chief Minister KCR would be invited to the three-day grand finale of ‘Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu’ (people’s governance victory celebrations).
This event commemorates the first year of the Congress government in the state.
During a recent program linked to the celebrations, the Chief Minister reiterated his invitation to KCR.
The Chief Minister also inspected the Secretariat area where the statue will be unveiled. He laid the foundation for the statue on August 28.
It was on December 9, 2009, that the then Congress-led UPA government initiated the process for establishing the Telangana State.
This date also marks the birthday of Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, whom the Chief Minister credited with realizing the long-held aspiration of the Telangana populace for their own state.
After Congress regained power last year, the Chief Minister announced plans to create a new design for Telangana Talli, as the previous design by the BRS government did not adequately represent the essence of rural Telangana.
