Key Elements for Achieving 2047 Aspirations: Jitendra Singh Emphasizes Collaboration, Innovation, and PPP

New Delhi, Dec 15 (NationPress) The Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, Jitendra Singh, underscored the significance of collaboration between the Centre and state, innovation, and public-private partnerships as essential components to achieve the ambitious 2047 goals for a Viksit Bharat on Sunday.
During the monthly Joint Ministerial Meeting with the Secretaries of all the Science Ministries and Departments of the Government held in the national capital, he emphasized aligning all governmental efforts with a “whole of Government” and “whole of Science” approach to transform India into “Viksit Bharat” by 2047.
Singh advocated for cooperative federalism in science and highlighted the importance of integrating all stakeholders to foster a sustainable and progressive ecosystem.
The meeting acted as a pivotal platform for assessing ongoing initiatives and deliberating future strategies aimed at reinforcing India’s scientific ecosystem.
Moreover, Singh accentuated the critical role of State Scientific Councils in promoting innovation, enhancing regional development, and contributing to national objectives.
“State Scientific Councils must rise to the occasion and assume their responsibilities in realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat. Through collective efforts, we can unlock the full potential of our scientific resources to evolve India into a developed nation by 2047,” the minister remarked.
He urged states to act as catalysts in nurturing a scientific mindset, fostering grassroots innovation, and utilizing local expertise to tackle distinct challenges.
The Union Minister also pointed out the necessity of market capitalization for innovations arising from India’s scientific agencies.
“Scientific innovation should not be limited to laboratories. It needs to translate into impactful, market-ready solutions that empower industries and enhance lives,” he stated.
“By effectively promoting technologies, India could position itself as a global leader in innovation and technology-driven solutions,” Singh added.
He also championed frameworks that facilitate public-private collaboration to expedite the commercialization of lab-scale breakthroughs.
The Union minister reiterated that such partnerships are crucial for bridging the divide between research and practical applications, ensuring that innovations are accessible, scalable, and impactful.
