Hyderabad, July 4 (NationPress) AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge inaugurated a statue commemorating former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Konijeti Rosaiah, in Hyderabad on Friday.
The statue, located at Lakdi Ka Pul in the city center, was revealed in honor of Rosaiah's birth anniversary.
Attendees included Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, state ministers, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud, and numerous Congress leaders.
The leaders paid heartfelt tributes to Rosaiah, who served as the Chief Minister of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh and held governorship in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
Earlier, Chief Minister Reddy reminisced about Rosaiah's significant contributions, noting that he presented the state budget as Finance Minister on 16 occasions during the Congress rule in united Andhra Pradesh.
