Patna, June 13 (NationPress) Political strategist and founder of Jan Suraaj, Prashant Kishor, has openly condemned Prime Minister Narendra Modi for what he describes as a systematic discrimination against Bihar, while giving preferential treatment to states like Gujarat and Maharashtra.
Speaking to the press in Gaya district during his ongoing Bihar Badlaav Yatra on Friday, Kishor raised concerns over a recent announcement made by Modi in Madhubani about a new Shramik train originating from Saharsa.
"Why do we never see such announcements for Gujarat or Maharashtra?" he questioned.
"If Prime Minister Modi has the courage, let him propose a Shramik train from Gujarat to Tamil Nadu. He knows he wouldn't earn a single vote in Gujarat if he did that," Kishor remarked, asserting that Bihar is being deprived of adequate development and infrastructure.
Highlighting the disparities, Kishor pointed out, "Gujarat has benefited from GIFT City, a solar park, and a bullet train, while Bihar is left with mere Shramik trains. Why this stark difference when the PM represents both states?"
He stressed that Bihar does not require more trains to transport its youth in search of employment. "What Bihar genuinely needs is quality education and employment opportunities, making migration a choice rather than a necessity. Our youth deserve better than being crammed into coaches like livestock. This must change."
Kishor also made a pivotal announcement about Jan Suraaj’s strategy for the upcoming 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, outlining a candidate selection policy focused on ensuring only individuals with clean images receive nominations.
“If by any chance an unsuitable candidate is selected, I implore the public not to vote for them,” he stated, adding, “Just as the UPSC employs rigorous selection for IAS and IPS officers, we too at Jan Suraaj aim for the highest standards, though human error is inevitable.”
