Bhopal, Oct 23 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla presided over a significant review meeting on Thursday with the state's Health and Family Welfare Department, where he issued crucial directives to the officials.
In the meeting, Shukla emphasized the need for timely actions, including the recruitment of doctors and other medical personnel, to effectively tackle the challenges in delivering health services to the residents of Madhya Pradesh.
The senior leader from the BJP, who oversees the Health and Medical Education departments, instructed officials to evaluate the current staffing situation in government hospitals and to submit recommendations for further recruitment.
Additionally, he directed the Health and Family Welfare Department to draft a proposal concerning the infrastructure and equipment needed for the treatment of cancer patients under the 'CM Care' scheme, aiming for swift submission to the government for Cabinet approval.
As part of the 'CM Care Scheme', patients facing serious health conditions will benefit from facilities such as cath labs and cancer treatment available at nearby hospitals. The scheme also includes cashless medical treatment with a coverage cap of Rs 20 lakh for employees and Rs 5 lakh for pensioners.
Shukla noted that the 'CM Care scheme' intends to bolster medical services at government-run Super Specialty Hospitals, which are being established across various regions of the state. The implementation of these services will initially take place in Super Specialty Hospitals located in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Sagar, and Rewa.
During the meeting, Deputy CM Shukla also explored the government's ambitions to establish additional Super Specialty Hospitals and initiate specialized courses for medical personnel. He instructed Principal Secretary (Health) Sandeep Yadav to ensure the appointment of sufficient specialist doctors in every hospital.
