Guwahati, July 10 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia stated on Thursday that the Central government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stands solidly with the states in every circumstance.
Amit Shah, in a message on X, remarked: “The Modi government stands firmly by the states in all situations. Today, the central government has sanctioned Rs 1066.80 crore for states impacted by floods and landslides, which include Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Kerala, and Uttarakhand as part of the Central share under SDRF.
The Home Minister highlighted that over Rs 8000 crore from SDRF/NDRF funds has been allocated to 19 states this year.
“In addition to financial aid, our main focus has been on providing comprehensive logistical support, including the deployment of necessary NDRF, Army, and Air Force resources,” he mentioned.
DoNER Minister Scindia, in a separate post on his X account, expressed: “The government led by PM Modi is unwavering in its support for every state, not merely through words, but through effective actions. I appreciate Hon’ble HM Amit Shah for reaffirming this steadfast commitment with prompt assistance to flood-impacted states.”
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Home Affairs approved the allocation of Rs 1,066.80 crore to six states affected by floods and landslides: Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Kerala, and Uttarakhand.
From the total aid, Assam received Rs 375.60 crore, Manipur was allocated Rs 29.20 crore, Meghalaya got Rs 30.40 crore, Mizoram received Rs 22.80 crore, Kerala was given Rs 153.20 crore, and Uttarakhand was allocated Rs 455.60 crore, as stated by the Ministry.
