New Delhi, Sep 15 (NationPress) Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal shared an intimate account of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s kind-heartedness on Monday, explaining how the PM organized a yoga instructor to assist him with a troubling throat issue. He expressed that this gesture made him feel as if “Modiji was caring for me like a father.”
In a heartfelt post on social media platform X with the hashtag #MyModiStory, Goyal commended the Prime Minister’s knack for observing even the most subtle details and his sincere concern for those around him.
“One of the most extraordinary traits of Prime Minister @NarendraModi ji is his deep empathy and consideration,” Goyal remarked in a video statement.
“His focus on even the minutest details showcases a rare warmth. I experienced it firsthand, and it profoundly impacted me.”
Goyal mentioned that he had been facing a throat issue for quite some time, often needing to sip water continuously during meetings. Aware of this, PM Modi consistently urged him to drink lukewarm water and even ensured it was provided during official events.
However, during one lengthy meeting where Goyal was delivering a report, the Prime Minister’s thoughtfulness reached new heights.
“As usual, my throat began to trouble me. I attempted to finish my presentation while taking sips of water. Out of the blue, Modiji paused and inquired, ‘Piyush, do you want treatment for your throat?’ I replied yes. He then asked, ‘Will you follow my advice?’ Again, I answered yes. He suggested I consider yoga therapy.”
Goyal agreed, presuming they would search for a yoga instructor the next day. But what transpired next astonished him and his family.
“The very next morning, I received a call from the Prime Minister’s residence. His aide asked if I was at home and then informed me that Modiji had already arranged for a yoga expert to come see me. I was taken aback,” he shared.
“I even offered to send a vehicle to pick up the expert, but I was told everything had been managed by the Prime Minister himself.”
Goyal expressed that this gesture profoundly affected him.
“Providing advice is one thing, but taking the initiative to arrange personal assistance is entirely different. I lost my father many years ago, but in that moment, I felt as if Modiji was genuinely looking after me like a father.”
