Bhopal, Sep 22 (NationPress) In light of the newly introduced GST (Goods and Services Tax) reforms by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which took effect on the first day of Navratri, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is set to spearhead an awareness initiative in the state.
The Chief Minister will launch the campaign by engaging with local merchants at Bhopal’s renowned Chowk Bazaar at 2:30 p.m. Following this, he will interact with shopkeepers at Somwara Chowk and address the assembled crowd.
In a post on his social media platform, CM Yadav stated, "I will be part of the 'NEXT GEN GST Promotion Campaign' happening in Bhopal. This occasion will also facilitate discussions with local traders and the public regarding #NextGenGST Reforms."
Additionally, he will visit the Curfew Wali Mata Temple to offer prayers and seek blessings during the Sharadiya Navratri Ghatsthapana.
Following this, CM Yadav will embark on a walking tour from the police chowki to Deepali Saree in Chowk Bazaar. He will distribute copies of the GST resolution, tagged by the ruling BJP as new generation GST reforms, addressing traders’ concerns related to GST.
During the campaign, the Chief Minister will also purchase local handloom and Khadi garments while promoting digital payment systems by informing traders about various payment options.
Later, he will arrive at Motilal Mannulal Dharamshala, where he will engage in a dialogue with around 300 representatives from trade, commerce, and social organizations.
In this interaction, insights will be shared on how the recent GST rate reductions by the Central government will benefit both buyers and sellers. This awareness initiative will persist as the government aims to disseminate the message of GST reforms to every corner of the state.
In addition to government efforts, the BJP state unit will also organize similar campaigns across all districts and blocks.
Importantly, the Mohan Yadav-led government and the state BJP unit have crafted a comprehensive strategy to execute this campaign during the ongoing Sewa Pakhwada.
The government and the BJP will also promote the Swadeshi campaign in the state. A meeting at the Chief Minister's residence on Saturday, overseen by BJP national joint general secretary Shiv Prakash, discussed detailed plans for the GST and Swadeshi campaigns in Madhya Pradesh.
