Barwani, Nov 14 (NationPress) As Janjatiya Gaurav Divas (Tribal Pride Day) approaches on Nov 15, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed that Madhya Pradesh is the native land of tribal communities, a fact that brings pride and respect to each inhabitant.

While addressing a gathering in Barwani district dedicated to the tribal populace, the Chief Minister remarked that Tribal Pride Day serves as a significant reminder of the sacrifices, courage, and heroism of renowned tribal leaders.

"Madhya Pradesh, recognized as the ‘Tribal State’, honors the existence of tribes, who are the precious jewels of our state, reflecting pride and respect for all its residents," the Chief Minister articulated.

He further noted, "The history of India's independence cannot be narrated without acknowledging the contributions of tribal leaders, who often remain unacknowledged by historians."

Under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, he highlighted that the country is reclaiming tribal pride, with Madhya Pradesh standing as a beacon of heritage-driven development.

“The stories of tribal leaders are now part of educational syllabi, and their contributions are being celebrated, exemplified by the museum in Jabalpur dedicated to Raja Shankar Shah and Kunwar Raghunath Shah,” he stated.

During this event, he inaugurated a magnificent statue of Birsa Munda, a legendary freedom fighter and a symbol of tribal identity in India, whose 150th birth anniversary will be commemorated nationwide as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas. This initiative was launched by PM Modi in 2022 in Bhopal.
