Mungeli (Chhattisgarh), July 2 (NationPress) The Mungeli District Hospital in Chhattisgarh has successfully achieved the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification, scoring an impressive 92.33% across all 15 specified health service criteria.
This prestigious certification is awarded by the National Health Mission under the Ministry of Family and Health Welfare.
District Magistrate Kundan Kumar expressed that this accomplishment is a significant achievement for the district, marking a step forward in enhancing healthcare services. He extended his congratulations to all health workers and officials, encouraging them to uphold the quality of their services.
Dr. M.K. Roy, the Civil Surgeon of Mungeli District Hospital, stated, “We have been diligently preparing for the past six months. A team from Delhi conducted a thorough evaluation. Our success is a testament to our teamwork, and we are committed to providing even better services in the future.”
RMO Sandeep Kumar Patil from the Health Department noted that the NQAS initiative aims to enhance the quality of services in government health institutions nationwide, recognizing those that excel in service delivery.
“The District Hospital Mungeli has excelled in key areas such as infection control, patient care, clinical services, record management, trained personnel, cleanliness, and patient satisfaction. The inspection team from the Ministry of Health was pleased with our hospital’s facilities and services. With the NQAS certification, our hospital will receive an annual incentive of Rs 10,000 per bed for the next three years, based on our 240 beds,” he added.
He further mentioned that following extensive training and evaluation, Mungeli District Hospital has achieved the highest score in NQAS certification. Key contributors to this success include Civil Surgeon Dr. M.K. Rai, RMO Dr. Sandeep Patil, Hospital Manager Surabhi Kesharwani, Matron Divya Masih, and the entire staff.
Divya Masih highlighted that the district hospital successfully delivers care to eight to ten pregnant women daily, ensuring quality treatment and monitoring, which contributed to the hospital's national recognition after the inspection. Cleanliness is prioritized in the district hospital, and the Ayushman card operator reported that patients are benefiting from the Ayushman scheme.
Himesh Kumar Khandekar, relative of a patient receiving treatment, shared his satisfaction regarding the care provided for his father’s urinary infection, noting the effective treatment and cleanliness of the hospital.
