Fatehabad, Oct 31 (NationPress) The state-level National Unity Day was observed with great fervor on Friday in Fatehabad, Haryana, commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India.
The event titled 'Run for Unity', held at the district headquarters, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini at the Panchayat Bhawan.
During this event, the Chief Minister showered flowers on the participants and joined in the run, promoting the message of national unity.
About 30,000 individuals took part in the gathering at the MM College grounds, including youth, women, athletes, students, social workers, and public representatives, all proudly waving the Tricolour. The atmosphere was filled with patriotic chants of 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat'.
On this special occasion, the Chief Minister also led an oath against drug abuse. In his address, CM Saini emphasized that National Unity Day serves to reinforce the spirit and essence of the nation.
“Today, we celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. His determination, bravery, and vision in uniting India continue to inspire us,” he remarked.
