New Delhi, Nov 14 (NationPress) JD(U) National Spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan expressed optimism on Friday, asserting that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is poised for a significant victory in the Bihar Assembly elections. “Starting from the initial round of counting today, it will be evident that the NDA is on the path to an incredible triumph. An NDA government is set to be established once more, with Nitish Kumar returning as Chief Minister of Bihar, while the opposition faces a complete defeat,” Ranjan conveyed to IANS, showcasing his confidence in the election results.
Simultaneously, BJP candidate Raju Kumar Singh also reflected assurance, stating, “It is well-known that we will emerge victorious in this counting. We have dedicated ourselves to serving the public for the last 20 years and will persist in doing so moving forward.”
The vote counting process for all 243 Assembly constituencies in Bihar is currently in progress, shrouded in extensive security measures. The counting commenced at 8 a.m. with postal ballots, followed by the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) counting beginning at 8:30 a.m. A robust security perimeter has been established across the state’s 46 counting centers in 38 districts.
The inner security surrounding strongrooms and counting halls is under the management of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), while the outer perimeter is overseen by the Bihar Police and local police teams. Additionally, more than 106 companies of external security personnel have been deployed. Strongrooms, where EVMs and VVPATs are sealed, have been under constant 24/7 CCTV surveillance since the polling ended.
Candidates and their authorized representatives have been permitted to monitor areas beyond the inner security perimeter to uphold transparency. The Election Commission has guaranteed that the counting process is conducted impartially, with strict adherence to protocols concerning postal ballots, EVMs, and VVPAT verification.
As the state anticipates the results, political parties and their supporters are intently monitoring the counting rounds, eager for a decisive verdict that will shape Bihar’s governance for the impending term. This high-stakes election has captured national attention, emphasizing security, transparency, and strict adherence to established procedures.
