As per the early trends released by the Election Commission of India (ECI) at 9 a.m., the BJP is leading in seats such as Aurai, Sahebganj, Baruraj, Digha, and Rajnagar.
Meanwhile, the RJD was noted to be ahead in two constituencies—Baniapur and Danapur.
Political candidates across various parties exhibited optimism regarding their election prospects.
The NDA claimed that the citizens of Bihar have expressed their confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's assurances and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's commitment to the state's development. Conversely, the Mahagathbandhan, represented by RJD, expressed a belief that voters are favoring a change this election, with Tejashwi Yadav poised to form a new government.
Minister Ashok Chaudhary remarked to IANS, "Some voters opted to reject 'Jungle Raj 2' and bring back Nitish Kumar. We will secure a clear majority."
Tejashwi, speaking to IANS, asserted, "Change is imminent, and a new government will be established," as counting progressed, showcasing his confidence in the electoral results.
The counting process is being supervised by 243 Returning Officers and 243 Counting Observers appointed by the Election Commission. Furthermore, over 18,000 counting agents assigned by the candidates are present to monitor the proceedings.
Access to counting centers is restricted to individuals with valid passes, and mobile phones are strictly banned inside the counting chambers.
More than 70 crore citizens have cast their votes to determine the future of both the Mahagathbandhan and the ruling NDA in Bihar.
