Patna, Nov 12 (NationPress) Following the exit polls indicating a decisive lead for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha conveyed his optimism on Wednesday that the alliance is set to regain power in the state.
Speaking to the press in Patna, Sinha expressed gratitude to the citizens of Bihar for their trust in the developmental initiatives championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He stated, “The electorate has cast their votes against the corruption and ‘Jungle Raj’ associated with the Mahagathbandhan. The RJD and Congress have made hollow promises that were detached from reality. The people have taught the two ‘Yuvrajs’ -- Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav -- a valuable lesson in this election.”
In response to inquiries regarding the Grand Alliance leaders dismissing the exit poll results, Sinha noted, “November 14 is just around the corner -- merely a day after tomorrow. Once the results emerge favorably for the NDA, they will have no option but to recognize them. They are already casting blame on the Election Commission, EVMs, and officials. Their search for excuses clearly indicates their awareness of impending defeat.”
Mocking the opposition leaders, Sinha remarked, “Both ‘Appu’ and ‘Pappu’ are likely to go abroad to express their frustrations after the election results.”
Commenting on the impressive voter turnout, Dy CM Sinha remarked that the citizens of Bihar have set a benchmark for the entire nation through their enthusiastic involvement in this “festival of democracy.”
He stated, “The voters of Bihar have demonstrated their faith in democratic processes. This also serves as a rebuttal to those who have questioned the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process and alleged vote rigging. The people of Bihar stand resolutely with the Election Commission.
Sinha highlighted that voter participation in the 2025 Assembly elections has shown a marked increase compared to previous elections.
“In the 2020 Assembly elections, the voting percentage was approximately 57 percent, but this time it has surged to around 67 percent -- a 10 percent increase. This reflects a robust democracy in Bihar,” he asserted.
Addressing the recent explosion in Delhi, Sinha commented, “It is deeply troubling when educated individuals resort to such destructive actions against the nation. However, the Central Government is fully equipped to manage such challenges, ensuring that the perpetrators will face justice.”
