New Delhi, July 21 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that although political parties might have varying agendas, it is crucial for all to come together across party lines when it comes to national interest.
The Prime Minister commended the parliamentarians who effectively represented India's perspective on cross-border terrorism during the Operation Sindoor outreach, advocating for global acceptance of India's stance.
Speaking to the media before the Monsoon Session of Parliament, PM Modi remarked, "The horrific atrocities in Pahalgam have left the world in shock. This incident brought global attention to the terrorists and their supporters. At that moment, rising above party interests and prioritizing national interest, representatives from numerous parties and states undertook international tours."
He stated, "They visited various countries and, with a united voice, conducted a successful campaign to highlight Pakistan as the sponsor of terrorism on the international stage. Today, I want to express my gratitude to those MPs for their significant contributions to national interest. I commend all political parties for fostering a positive environment in the country."
PM Modi continued, "The world should be receptive to India’s viewpoint, and I take pride in acknowledging our parliamentarians and political parties for this effort."
Reiterating the importance of unity for national interest, the Prime Minister urged, "I want to convey to the citizens and all political parties that our nation has experienced the strength of unity and the impact of a collective voice. Thus, I encourage all Members of Parliament to embrace and promote this spirit within the House."
Recognizing the diversity of political views, he acknowledged, "Indeed, political parties differ; each has its agenda and role. However, I fully accept that while opinions may diverge on party interests, hearts must unite for national interest."
He concluded, "With this sentiment, numerous legislations aimed at strengthening our nation's development journey will be proposed in this monsoon session. The House is expected to pass these after thorough discussions. I wish all esteemed MPs a fruitful debate."
