New Delhi, July 20 (NationPress) The Monsoon Session of Parliament is set to kick off on Monday and will run until August 21. During this period, the Central government plans to present eight new Bills.
Among the top priorities is the Income-Tax Bill, 2025, which was initially introduced in the Lok Sabha during the Budget Session on February 13.
This bill, including its amendments, has received backing from the select committee of Parliament, led by BJP MP Baijayant Jay Panda. Following this, it will go to the Union Cabinet for approval before being presented to Parliament for passage this session.
Another significant bill is the Manipur Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2025, aimed at aligning state GST law with central legislation. A bill concerning the extension of President’s rule in Manipur is also on the agenda, as parliamentary approval is necessary every six months.
Additionally, the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill, 2025 seeks to enhance the ease of doing business and improve regulatory compliance.
