New Delhi, Feb 15 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his sincere birthday greetings to Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Saturday, commending his significant contributions to India’s energy landscape.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also shared birthday wishes for Puri on social media, recognizing his relentless efforts in promoting the vision of an energy-secure India.

Hardeep Singh Puri, celebrated for his esteemed diplomatic career, has redirected his efforts towards fortifying India’s petroleum and natural gas sectors. Under his guidance, the government aims to establish India as a significant contender in global energy markets, contributing to the larger objective of achieving self-reliance.

Inducted into the Council of Ministers as Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Housing and Urban Affairs in September 2017, Puri was assigned additional responsibilities as Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Civil Aviation and Minister of State for Commerce and Industry in May 2019. He was sworn in as Union Minister in July 2021 and is currently serving as the Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, as well as Petroleum and Natural Gas.
