Patna, Oct 24 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi intensified his critique of the Mahagathbandhan during a rally in Begusarai, passionately urging the youth to vote wisely this time to contribute towards a thriving and Viksit Bihar.
Before his speech in Begusarai, PM Modi visited the birthplace of Jannayak Karpoori Thakur, where he condemned the RJD-Congress alliance for plunging the state into chaos, attributing the blame for the state's decline to their governance.
He derided the internal disputes and infighting within the Mahagathbandhan over seat allocations, branding it a Mahalathbadhan and asserting that the coalition was more focused on personal gains than the welfare of the public.
During his address, PM Modi encouraged the youth to make a thoughtful choice for their future, echoing the decisions made by their parents two decades ago.
He noted that the NDA government had liberated Bihar from the jungle raj and initiated a period of effective governance, emphasizing the need for a government that would continue this trajectory towards prosperity.
"I come here with a special message for the youth of Bihar. It was in October 2005 that your parents took a stand against the jungle raj and opted for good governance. Now, this October-November 2025 brings you new opportunities and responsibilities. It is your duty to forge a prosperous Bihar for yourselves and future generations," PM Modi told the crowd.
He contrasted the 'progressive' NDA with the 'corrupt' grand alliance, stating, "On one hand, you have progressive leaders; on the other, a mahalathbandhan."
PM Modi further criticized the RJD and Congress, labeling the former as Bihar's most corrupt family, while the latter was branded as the country's most corrupt family.
He pointed out that many members of Lalu Yadav's family are on bail, and numerous members of the Gandhi family also face similar legal troubles, urging the people of Bihar to reconsider their trust in them for their future.
In promoting the vision of a Viksit Bihar, PM Modi highlighted that the 1960s were a period of robust development in Bihar, with operational refineries, fertilizer factories, and power hubs.
"The jungle raj devastated all progress and forced factories to shut down. Those in power during the jungle raj secured their children in elite positions while the people of Bihar suffered," he lamented.
He affirmed that the NDA government laid the groundwork for a prosperous Bihar.
Ending the jungle raj was merely the first step towards alleviating the struggles of the people, and he expressed confidence that the state would reach new heights next.
"Bihar will advance with a renewed pace when the NDA government returns to power," PM Modi proclaimed, inciting enthusiastic applause from the audience.
